Work With MS SQL And Sybase ASE Databases

During updates from Isah 4.0 to Isah 4.5 or higher it can be useful to have a connection to both the Isah 4.5 MS SQL database or higher and the Isah 4.0 Sybase ASE database. This situation will of course be temporary. After the update procedure, only the MS SQL database connection should remain valid.

To enable a connection between the Isah license server and both types of database, follow these steps:

  1. Start the application for the configuration of the Isah License Server: IsahLicenseServerConfig.exe.
  2. Click Tools, Options to open the Options form.
  3. On the Settings tab, check the Support for legacy databases field. A new tab will appear in the Options screen: Legacy databases.
  4. The Databases tabs shows a list of configured MS SQL databases; the Legacy databases tab shows configured Sybase ASE databases.
