You can use the PCF, or Product Configurator, to register sets of predefined questions and their possible answers. By answering a the series of questions, you can build up a specific configuration of a common product. Setting up such as a series of questions and answers, however, may sometimes prove to be quite difficult. This may concern difficulties such as:

• Some questions will no longer be relevant because of answers given earlier.
• Not all answers remain relevant because of answers given to previous questions.
• Not all answers can be predefined.

This is why you can use specific PCF scripts to solve these difficulties. You can enter simplified scripts in the following PCF-related screens:

Scripts that you enter on the screens F0293 Features and F0294 Options serve as defaults for screens F0295 Part features and F0296 Part options.

Note: Since a PCF script cannot be used for more than one part, PCF scripts are not included in the Scripts screen. They are included in the PCF screens. It is, however, possible to make use of the standard scripts from the Scripts screen for your PCF scripts.
