Converting sales offers into orders when credit limit is exceeded

You can configure the application to display a message if the customer's credit limit is exceeded when you attempt to convert a sales offer into an order (Sales module, Sales offers or Sales orders form, Edit menu). Depending on the settings, you can then choose to cancel the process or continue the process anyway. If you choose to execute the process, the log will show not only that the credit limit was exceeded, but also the user who converted the offer into an order.

Note: The message will appear only if you are using status handling, which means that the status type 'Offer' is changed into 'Order' when the Order from offer process is executed.

To set the credit limit message, go to the Customers module, Customers form, Financial tab, Sales offer/order field. To display a credit limit message when you attempt to convert a sales offer into an order, you can choose from the following settings:
