If you use the Service module and/or the Cost-plus invoicing function, you can include prices for man hours, machine hours, equipment use and external operations. You can find these specific prices in the General Settings module, Flexible search paths folder.
The prices in these flexible search paths have been assigned a start date, but no end date. Prices from a certain year (for instance, 2014) are therefore automatically valid in the next year (in this case, 2015). You can, however, always register new prices with a start date in the new year. There is no process available to update a group of prices in flexible search paths. You will have to assess all prices manually and if necessary change or add prices.
Warning
When the cost-plus invoicing specification lines are created, the date used to determine the prices is taken from the Price date field of the sales order line. If you add prices for the new year in the flexible search paths but you still want to make use of prices that are valid in a specific year when calculating the price of orders that are spread over more than one year, you then have to take the following into account for the sales order lines concerned:
