For the timescale selected in the Gantt chart, use the Date format field to specify how you want the date to be displayed in the Gantt chart. You can specify the format for the main scale and for the subscale. For example, if you select the timescale 'Week/day', you specify the date format for weeks for the main scale, and the date format for days for the subscale. You can use parameters for which a particular value is filled in automatically, and you can use custom text.

Parameters

Year
yy	Year with two positions: 12, 13, etcetera
yyyy	Year with four positions: 2012, 2013, etcetera

Month
m	Month number: 1, 2, etcetera
mm	Month number with leading zero to fill two positions: 08, 09, 10, etcetera
mmm	Month name expressed as three letters: Jan, Feb, etcetera
mmmm	Full month name: January, February, etcetera

Week
x	Week number: 1, 2, etcetera
xx	Week number with leading zero to fill two positions: 08, 09, 10, etcetera

Day
d	Day number: 1, 2, etcetera
dd	Day number with leading zero to fill two positions: 08, 09, 10, etcetera
ddd	Day name expressed as two letters: Mo, Tu, etcetera
dddd	Full day name: Monday, Tuesday, etcetera
~	First letter of the day in lowercase: m, d, etcetera
$	First letter of the day in uppercase: M, D, etcetera

Custom text

It is possible to add text to the main scale or the subscale in the Gantt chart and to combine the text with the parameters. To improve readability, you can add punctuation marks, such as dashes and parentheses. Text must be placed between single quotes.
