A project with plan groups can be built up as follows:
Create a project.
Link a sales order to the project, including production file and operations for which a plan group has been filled in.
Create project lines for the plan groups. A project line is created for every plan group. All order lines on which the plan group is missing are grouped into a single project line.
Create more links to control your time planning. In the example, you would have to link the production file (including all assembly operations) to the 'Assembly' project line, and link the production file (including all engineering operations) to the 'Engineering' project line.
Update the data on the project lines for plan groups after changes have been made to the linked orders.
