Synchronization

Isah Mobile Logistics can be used on mobile devices running various operating systems. See the System Requirements for Isah Mobile Logistics for details.

Isah ML saves the data required for functions in a database by synchronizing the tables required. Because these data then exist on the mobile device, Isah ML can be used off line, which means you do not need an active network connection with the Isah database. Whenever Isah ML saves changes to the local copy of the Isah tables, they will be synchronized with the Isah database.

Isah Mobile Sync Service

The Isah Mobile Sync Service is a web service that makes the Isah tables available for synchronization. The web service is hosted in Internet Information Services (IIS). To limit the amount of data to be synchronized, the tables are filtered.

Isah Mobile Sync Services can be installed on the server running the SQL server with the Isah database or on a separate server.

In order to synchronize the data, Isah Mobile Logistics (the application on the mobile device) must connect to Isah Mobile Sync Service on the server. This can be done in two ways:

1. By connecting to Isah Mobile Sync Service from the mobile device using Wi-Fi. This method does require the mobile device to support Wi-Fi.
2. By inserting the mobile device in a cradle (docking station). This cradle must be connected with a PC that connects to Isah Mobile Sync Service for synchronization.
