This document describes the changes made to Isah scripting in Isah 4.5 compared to Isah 4.0.5. You can use this information to assess the impact the migration to Isah 4.5 will have on existing custom scripts. These custom scripts must be made operational again in the repair phase of the migration process.
The Isah scripting changes mainly relate to the compatibility of the following five components:
The following chapters describe the changes to classes and functions and the appendix lists the changes to all properties, methods, and events of these components as they are available in Isah scripting.
The information in this document will give you a good understanding of any compatibility issues, and will allow you to perform relatively simple custom scans for migration purposes.
Please note: The information relates to the compatibility of Isah scripts, and not to the impact of the migration to MS SQL Server. The impact of the migration to MS SQL Server will, in turn, also have an impact on scripts. This will not involve changed scripting components so much, however, but rather changes in Transact-SQL. For scripting, it means, in any case, that all SQL statements in the scripts must be checked.
