The Engineering Link makes engineering-related information and functionalities from Isah available with a COM API. These functionalities can be used in your own software. The Engineering Link contains a reference to the Isah Integration Server which makes all Integration Server functionality accessible in the Engineering Link.
In essence, the Engineering Link is about managing bills of materials (BOM). It provides the means to compare the BOM that is managed from a CAD or PDM application to an Isah BOM and to synchronize the BOMs. In addition, you can use the Engineering Link to perform other actions such as linking documents to parts or production files in Isah.
The Engineering Link enables you to integrate Isah functionality into your own software. The user can open the Isah part form without starting Isah, to select or to create a part. All form functionalities can be used by the user (if permissions allow it). Info forms can also present the user Isah information, such as the engineering item structure form.
A Engineering Link installation procedure is available. A license is required for each user in order to use the Engineering Link functionality. Please contact your Isah consultant for further information.
The Engineering Link API consists of a number of interfaces. All interfaces, including their methods and properties are described in the Engineering Link help. Code examples show the application of methods and properties. Tasks show you how to perform certain actions. All help topics describe situations you may encounter using the Engineering Link.
