Log style

Specifies in which directory the Isah License Server logs its events. Events can be logged as follows:

• 'Do not log': The Isah License Server will not log any events.
• 'Memory': The Isah License Server will log information in the computer's memory. View this information on the Messages tab.
• 'File & memory': The Isah License Server will log information in memory and in a specific log file.

Log file name

Specifies the path and file name of the file to which all license server events are logged.

Maximum size

Specifies the maximum number of lines in the license server log file. When the maximum number of lines is reached, the oldest lines will be deleted. If you specify '0', the Isah License server log file may contain an indefinite number of lines.

Back-up log file

Specifies how often back-up copies of the log file must be created:

• 'Never': The Isah License Server never creates back-up copies.
• 'Every day': The Isah License Server creates a back-up copy of the log file daily.
• 'Every week': The Isah License Server creates a back-up copy of the log file every week.
• 'Every month': The Isah License Server creates a back-up copy of the log file every month.

The back-up files will be saved as follows: 'log[date].txt', where date will be displayed in the format 'yyyymmdd'. If a file name has already been used, a sequence number will be added to the file name.

Log exceptions

Select this check box to log errors in the communication between the Isah License Server and the applications that communicate with the Isah License Server, or errors that occurred on the Isah License Server itself. It is recommended that you select this check box.

Log users

Select this check box to log every attempt by a user to log on and off. It is recommended that you clear this check box.
