Quick Update Guide

This Isah Quick-Update Guide assumes that you are updating an existing Isah V4.6 installation. For detailed instructions, please refer to the Update Guide.

Pre-Installation Checklist

• Log on as an administrator before carrying out any of the following processes.
• Installing the Isah Server Software
• Backup your databases.
• Update the Isah Database Patch Engine. Navigate to the following folder on your network server: \IsahSetup_4_6_Isah\[UPDATEPACKNO]_[VERSIONNO]\Server_Software\Isah_DBPatch_Engine and double-click IsahDBPatchEngine.exe.
• Update your databases. Navigate to the following folder on your network server: \IsahSetup_4_6_Isah\[UPDATEPACKNO]_[VERSIONNO]\Database_Patch\Patch_[DATABASENO] and double-click IsahDBPatcher.exe.
• Make a copy of the database backup files and then backup your databases again.
• Update the License Server. Navigate to the following folder on your network server: \IsahSetup_4_6_Isah\[UPDATEPACKNO]_[VERSIONNO]\Server_Software\Isah_License_Server. Double-click IsahLicenseServer.msi. Follow the directions on your screen to carry out the update process.
• Update the System Admin. Navigate to the following folder on your network server: \IsahSetup_4_6_Isah\[UPDATEPACKNO]_[VERSIONNO]\Client_Software\SystemAdmin. Double-click SystemAdmin.msi. Follow the directions on your screen to carry out the installation process.
• Install the Isah update on the server. It is not necessary to remove the existing version of Isah. Navigate to the following folder on your network server: \IsahSetup_4_6_Isah\[UPDATEPACKNO]_[VERSIONNO]\Client_Software\Isah_[BUILDNO]. Double-click successively:
  • Isah.msi
  • IsahReports.msi
  • IsahLangPack[…].msi in the subfolder LanguagePacks

Follow the directions on your screen to carry out the installation process.

Installing the Isah Client Software

• Update the System Admin. Navigate to the following folder on your network server: \IsahSetup_4_6_Isah\[UPDATEPACKNO]_[VERSIONNO]\Client_Software\SystemAdmin. Double-click SystemAdmin.msi. Follow the directions on your screen to carry out the installation process.
• Install the Isah update on the client. It is not necessary to remove the existing version of Isah. Navigate to the following folder on your network server: \IsahSetup_4_6_Isah\[UPDATEPACKNO]_[VERSIONNO]\Client_Software\Isah_[BUILDNO]. Double-click successively:
  • Isah.msi
  • IsahLangPack[…].msi in the subfolder LanguagePacks
• Follow the directions on your screen to carry out the installation process.

Post-Installation Tasks

• Restart the computer.
