The difference between paperless functions and non-paperless functions is that mobile devices do not have a scanning option when paperless functions are used. Instead, the display shows list boxes for the user to choose from, such as lists of purchase orders and purchase lines.
If you are using non-paperless functions, the mobile device can be used to scan barcodes, such as the barcodes of parts registered as received.
Scanning barcodes is particularly useful when large numbers of data have to be processed. In those types of situations, scanning is significantly faster than working with list boxes.
