Calculation known (in full or in part)

It is also possible that a customer asks you to redeliver a product, but with modifications. In that case, a calculation already exists, but you also know that it may still change.

Therefore, copy the old calculation and use that copy to work with. On calculation lines that do not have a plan group, specify the plan group they belong to. You can choose to refine the calculation straight away, but you can also do so later.

Plan groups – Example of project with copied calculation

To view the plan groups in the production file at project level, use the Create plan group lines process. This process is used to check the calculation lines, organize them into plan groups, and then add them to the project as project lines. Calculation lines without a plan group are merged and added to the project as separate lines.

Tip: Plan group lines can be created automatically at project level, but it is also possible to add plan groups from a production file to a subproject. This is particularly useful if you have large projects in which you want to apply this calculation method to the different subprojects.
