Bar text

The bar text is the text displayed on the blocks of scheduled project or production components. Use the arrow keys to transfer fields from the Available fields column to the selection column. The font, position and any other elements can be set in the fields in the section below it.

Use the Format field to control how the data from the selected fields are to be displayed. You can also use free text. The characters '%s' shown for different quantities in the list box of the Format field indicate the number of variables you want to display. This number must match the fields selected. If you choose three variables when you have selected just one field, only one variable will be displayed.

Examples

If you have set the progress percentage for the selected fields to be displayed in the Gantt chart bars, you will see a number in the bar, for example '30'. To display a percentage sign next to it, add the percentage sign next to the variable '%s' in the Format field: '%s%'. The bar will now show '30%'.

It is also possible to specify equations. Let us assume that for the fields selected, you chose the following fields:

These are the components of the equation you want to be displayed in the bars. Let us also assume that you want to create the following equation:

Total capacity load / Capacity = Total capacity load in %

For this example, enter the following in the Format field:

%s / %s hour(s) = %s%

The result shown in the bar would be something like this: 100 / 168 hours = 59%.
