The production routing you enter in this field is used for parts belonging to this engineering group. This production routing is automatically copied to the Logistics tab of the Part form whenever you add a new part that belongs to this engineering group. You can enter a different routing code there. Deleting the routing code, however, is only possible if the Required check box below the routing code is deselected.

If this check box is selected, the use of a routing is required for all parts belonging to the relevant group. The setting is copied to the part. If the engineering group has been selected for the part, the production routing is required. You can cancel the requirement for the part by clearing the Required check box to the right of the Production field.
