Use the Batch server type form to register different types of batch servers. The type is used to determine which batch servers can execute a particular command. A batch server can only execute batch commands of the types that have been assigned to the batch server.
Example
Type |
Description |
0 |
Night batch |
1 |
Report batch server |
2 |
Process batch server |
Note: When using more than one batch server, you are recommended to execute resource-demanding processes such as the Run MRP process sequentially on only one batch server. In this case, you create a batch server type for resource-demanding processes, for example 'Night batch', and then assign this type to just one batch server. When creating the batch commands, specify that the process must be executed with the 'Night batch' batch server.
