This is the default start time for this working hours table, for example 08:00. Click the Lines button to register multiple working hours and break times.
The default start time for this working hours table is specified in the Start time field. The Minimum start time field allows you to prevent overtime being registered if an employee clocks in shortly before the official start time.
If an employee clocks in before the official start time, but after the Minimum start time, the clock-in time will be rounded to the time specified in the Start time field. This means the 'additional' time will not be registered as overtime.
The software does register the actual clock-in time in the database. This allows you to check the actual time an employee has clocked in.The time is rounded only to allow the software to determine the rates (normal or overtime) and the clocked presence hours.
Note: If you do not want to use the minimum start time, enter the same time as the actual start time in this field.
Example
Minimum start time |
Start time |
07:45 |
08:00 |
If an employee clocks in between 07:45 and 08:00, this clock-in time is rounded to 08:00, i.e. the normal start time. Clocking in earlier will therefore not automatically result in overtime.
The default start time for this working hours table is specified in the Start time field. If an employee clocks in after the start time, the time registration system will ask for the reason for the employee being late. If, however, the employee clocks in only a few minutes late, this question may not be relevant.
To prevent questions being asked when an employee is only a little late, you can set a maximum start time. No questions will be asked if the clock-in time is before the maximum start time, and the clock-in time of the employee will be rounded to the time specified in the Start time field.
The software does register the actual clock-in time in the database. This allows you to check the actual time an employee has clocked in.The time is rounded only for controlling the clock in respect of absence reasons and the clocked presence hours.
Note: If you do not want to use the maximum start time, enter the same time as the actual start time in this field.
Example
Start time |
Maximum start time |
08:00 |
08:15 |
If an employee clocks in between 08:00 and 08:15, the employee will not be asked why he is late. The clock-in time is rounded to 18:00 hours, i.e. the normal start time.
This is the default end time for this working hours table, for example 17:00. Click the Lines button to register multiple working hours and break times.
The default end time for this working hours table is specified in the End time field. If an employee clocks out before the end time, the time registration system will ask for the reason for the employee leaving early. If, however, the employee clocks out only a few minutes early, this question may not be relevant.
To prevent questions being asked when an employee is leaving only a little early, you can set a minimum end time. No questions will be asked if the clock-out time is after the minimum end time, and the clock-out time will be rounded to the time specified in the End time field.
The software does register the actual clock-in time in the database. This allows you to check the actual time an employee has clocked in.The time is rounded only for controlling the clock in respect of absence reasons and the clocked presence hours.
Note: If you do not want to use the minimum end time, enter the same time as the actual end time in this field.
Example
Minimum end time |
End time |
16:45 |
17:00 |
If an employee clocks out between 16:45 and 17:00, the employee is not asked why he is leaving early. The clock-in time is rounded to 17:00 hours, i.e. the normal end time.
The default end time for this working hours table is specified in the End time field. The Maximum end time field allows you to prevent overtime being registered if an employee clocks in shortly after the official end time.
If an employee clocks out after the official end time, but before the maximum end time, the clock-out time will be rounded to the time specified in the End time field. This means the 'additional' time will not be registered as overtime.
The software does register the actual clock-in time in the database. This allows you to check the actual time an employee has clocked in.The time is rounded only to allow the software to determine the rates (normal or overtime) and the clocked presence hours.
Note: If you do not want to use the maximum end time, enter the same time as the actual end time in this field.
Example
Start time |
Maximum start time |
17:00 |
17:15 |
If an employee clocks out between 17:00 and 17:15, this clock-out time is rounded to 17:00 hours, i.e. the normal end time. Clocking in later will therefore not automatically result in overtime.
