Use the Make contra entries for processed hours form to make contra entries for processed hour lines.
Contra entries are used when hour lines entered in advance later turn out to be incorrect. An employee may, for instance, have taken up more holiday hours than were initially entered. In situations like these, you can undo these entries by making a contra entry. To prevent contra entries, however, you are recommended to register hours after the fact where possible.
When a contra entry is made, an hour line is created that is virtually the same as the line you are correcting. The only difference between the new line and the original line is that they have opposite values. After you have made the contra entry, both lines are marked as 'Contra entry made', as a result of which they are no longer considered as 'Existing'.
Once you have made the contra entry, use the Time registration form to create a new hour line with the correct values.
Note: Corrections must always be made manually. When there are two overlapping lines, for instance, the program cannot automatically determine which line is to be modified.
