Duration/period, Period description
This shows the period the indicator line relates to.
Fiscal period closed, Forecast
If you do not expect the values to change for the relevant period, select the Fiscal period closed check box.
If the Fiscal period closed check box is empty, the Forecast field will use the actual value if the period is closed (complete). If the period is not yet closed, either the standard or the actual value will be used: The field will contain the higher of the two values.
If the Fiscal period closed check box is selected, the Forecast field will always use the actual values for calculation purposes.
If the KPI has a division that does not use values entered in Isah, you can enter your own description for the division. Let us assume no part main groups have been entered in Isah, but you do want to be able to track the quarterly turnover for the different part main groups within your company. In that case, you should manually create lines for the four quarters, and one line for each quarter for each part type. Then, manually enter the actual values. The program will check whether the period and description combination is unique within the program.
Most KPI lines have been either created automatically using the 'Create indicator lines' process, or created manually. On these lines, the value in the 'Created by' field is 'Indicator'. A line may also be created when a script is run to calculate the actual values and a value is found for which no line had been created yet. In that case, the value in the 'Created by' field is 'Actual'.
Example
The KPI '2009Turnover' shows the quarterly turnover of the part main groups U (Profile) and G (Curved profile) over a period of one year.

In the third quarter, the part main group GR (Ribbed profile) is added. The script used for calculating the actual values automatically creates a KPI line as soon as turnover is created on GR.

Determination of actual sum, Determination of actual quantity
The actual values on the KPI lines can be retrieved by means of a script, or they can be entered manually. If for one or more KPI lines the value has been entered manually using the Change actual values process, the value will be 'Manual'. If all lines have been calculated using the Calculate values for indicators process, the value will be 'Calculated'.
This is the start date of the indicator line. The end date is the start date + the period.
