Production files linked to engineering item

The Production files linked to engineering item form shows the production file(s) linked to the engineering item selected on the Engineering items form. You need to establish the link between the engineering item and a production file manually on the Production files linked to engineering item form.

Engineering items that have a part with order code 'Produce in new production file' linked to them and that are part of an engineering BOM are automatically linked to a new production file during synchronization of the parent engineering item.

A production file linked to an engineering item is displayed together with that engineering item on the Engineering structure form. If more than one production file is linked to the production file, the Engineering structure form only displays the production file set as the Default production file. To display a production file on the Engineering structure form, select the Default check box for that production file.

The production file set as the default production file is also suggested on the Synchronize engineering/production form as the production file to be synchronized with an engineering item (if more than one production file is linked to the engineering item, you can also choose another production file).
