Use the Release engineering item revision process to release the selected engineering item revision. The status is changed from 'Not released' to 'Released'. The status of any previous revisions is changed to 'Released, but not the last released revision'. If desired, you can specify a description for the released revision.

You can choose to have the engineering item synchronized with production immediately after its release (see Synchronization).
