Production Explorer

The Production Explorer shows the hierarchical production structure. The location from which you open the Production Explorer determines the information displayed on the form. If you open the form from a sales line, for example, you will only see the production structure of the sales line, and not the production structure of the entire sales order. You can see what the parent sales order of the sales line is, however. If you open the Production Explorer from a production file, for example, you will only see its underlying production structure. The Production Explorer allows you to:

• Double-click the line to display more information. If, for example, you double-click the line number of a part line, the Production calculation for parts form will open. You need at least View rights to be able to open a form.
• Use and at the top of the form to display the production structure of other records. If, for example, you open the Production Explorer form from the sales line, you can use the icons to retrieve the production structure of other sales lines.
• Show only those lines you want to see by using the icons, , , etcetera, or the View menu. To exclude the part lines, for example, in order to have a better overview of the other calculations, click . The part lines, including all underlying lines, will disappear from view, but the underlying production files will be displayed. Even if you exclude the sales lines, the underlying production files will still be visible. The underlying production files will then be placed immediately below the main production file. For purchase lines the behavior is as follows:
  • If the purchase line is linked to the sales line and the sales line is excluded, this purchase line will not be shown. If also a purchase line is linked to the part in the underlying production file, it will be shown if the part is displayed on the form (if it is not excluded). Generally, the production file and its underlying structure are always displayed.
  • If the purchase line is linked to the part and the part is excluded, this purchase line will not be shown.

• Add calculation lines linked to an operation underneath the operation by using the Show lines below operations option from the Settings menu. Non-linked lines are shown together with the same calculation lines. This means that part lines, for example, are displayed together with the other part lines.
