Part receipts from customer

Use the Part receipts from customer to register the parts you have received from your customer. These parts you have received and are intended to be used as a component of the finished product ordered by the customer.

Once the receipts have been registered, they must be processed. Any postings required will not be made until the receipt lines have been processed. For example: registering the receipt of the parts required against the production order. The registration of parts received from a customer that will be included in a finished product is merely informational. No costs are posted.

You can only process receipt lines of which the Receipt status is set to 'Ready for processing'.
