Types of project lines 
Isah projects may have various types of project lines: projects, subprojects, phases, activities, milestones, and costs/revenues. Because of their nature, these types of project lines also have different characteristics.
 Project
Each project has only one line of this type: the parent line of all other components. The line may have underlying lines, for example for subprojects or activities. The line has a start date, a finish date and a lead time. The lead time is fixed. Finish date = Start date + Lead time.  Subproject, Phase
Lines of these types may have underlying lines, for example for subprojects or activities. They have a start date, a finish date and a lead time. The lead time is fixed. Finish date = Start date + Lead time.  Activity
A line of this type cannot have any underlying lines. The line has a start date, a finish date and a lead time. The lead time is fixed. Finish date = Start date + Lead time.  Milestone
A line of this type cannot have any underlying lines. The line has a start date, a finish date and a lead time. The start date is always equal to the finish date. The lead time is always zero.  Costs/revenues
The line cannot have any underlying lines. The line does not have a start or finish date The line does not have a lead time.
