You can find this option on the Sales offers, Sales orders and Sales lines forms. Its behavior is determined by a combination of some of the fields on these forms.
The General tab of the sales lines contains the Desired shipping date field. If the default icon next to this field is not disabled, the field uses the desired shipping date specified on the General tab of the Sales offers or Sales orders form. If you change the desired shipping date on the sales offer or sales order, also the finish date on the sales line will change.
If the Finish date of linked production files is based on shipping date option is enabled, also the Finish date field on the General tab of the Production files form will change. This only happens if the following criteria have been met:
