Ledger Overview

Use the Ledger Overview form to display various ledger views showing the financial situation of a company in a particular period, for example, the balance sheet and the profit and loss account. You can find the different overviews in the View menu.

At the bottom of the form, you can see the results of the current fiscal year. The Balance sheet and Profit & loss columns show the results of one or more fiscal periods, depending on the period selection. The result may be processed or unprocessed, and the result may be a profit or a loss.

Selecting a period

Use the period selection functionality to analyze the transactions on the ledger accounts of one or more periods. By default, the ledger overview of a fiscal year is displayed. A fiscal year consists of the maximum number periods, usually 0 to 12. By reducing the period range, you can zoom in on the amounts and the results of one or more periods.
