Import from Excel

If you maintain creditor amounts in Excel, use the Import from Excel feature to copy them to day books in Isah Finance. This feature allows you to import all open items of creditors before you start using Isah Finance. The import process creates day book pages containing day book lines. Import

To import from Excel, follow these steps:

  1. Select the day book from which you want to copy the ledger account amounts.
  2. Click the Import from Excel button. The wizard starts.
  3. Select the Excel file you want to import. If you decide to continue, the data in the Excel file are verified.
  4. Take a look at the data of the Excel file and correct them where necessary. The corrections are also implemented in the Excel file. If you decide to continue, you will see what the imported data will look like.
  5. Check the import preview. To change any data, go back to the previous step to make your changes.
  6. Complete the import.

Result

Once the import has finished, a day book page has been created for every creditor/purchase invoice/reference number combination in the Excel file. Any lines in the Excel file with matching creditors, purchase invoices and reference numbers are merged into one line in the day book page. Every line that has a unique combination will have its own line on the day book page.
