Service notifications

Enter service notifications to register failures. The Service notifications form displays all registered outstanding notifications. It shows the customers and objects for which notifications have been entered, and the status of the notifications. To register the notifications, use the Notifications module.

Service notifications are the starting point for service orders created for corrective maintenance. In the service notification, you enter various data, such as the object, and the corresponding service contract, including the version and the customer. You can choose to fill in some data at a later stage, because you want to save time or because those data are not yet known.

For each notification, you can establish links with other notifications or customers. Service notifications can be viewed in the Notifications module.

After registering the notification, you can immediately create a follow-up action for the notification. For instance, you could create a service order or register a follow-up action from a service notification. The follow-up action may be taken by an in-house employee or a field service employee.
