Isah Configuration replaces Isah Configuration. Like Isah Configuration, you can use Isah Configuration to define users and user groups, rights, general settings, and application-specific settings. There are also some differences between the two tools, however, which are set out below.
Easy switching between applications
To retrieve settings from another application, you had to log in to Isah Configuration again, and specify the port number of the web service of that application. Isah Configuration allows you to easily switch between applications by selecting a different application from the ribbon. You no longer log in to an application, but to a database instead, and you use the port number of the Isah Configuration Service.
General and application-specific settings
Isah Configuration differentiates between general and application-specific settings. The general section (General Settings) is used to manage the settings, users and user groups that are used in multiple applications. Settings that apply only to a particular application can be retrieved by selecting the application from the ribbon.
Use the General Settings section to create user groups and to assign users to these groups. User groups are assigned rights to functions and tabs in the relevant applications themselves. Rights are granted only to groups in order to make rights easier to manage. You could, for example, group individual users with the same rights in a group 'Other', or you could create groups consisting of just one user. If you prefer to maintain an advanced rights system of user group rights and user rights, you can perform the rights management in Isah.
Navigating
In Isah Configuration, a navigation bar is displayed on the left-hand side of the form, allowing you to open other settings. Clicking a line on the form that is open will display a form containing the details of the line. You can use the detail form to make changes, if necessary.
Uniform style and structure
In Isah Configuration, every application had its own structure and form layout. The uniform style and subject groups of Isah Configuration make it easier to find your way around Isah Configuration.
