User groups provide a quick and easy way to assign rights to users. Once you have defined the rights for a user group, all you have to do is link a new user to that group in order to grant that user the group rights. A user can be a member of several groups. In that case, the highest rights apply, e.g. if a user is part of a group with Read rights for a program code and also of a group with Delete rights for that program code, the Delete rights have precedence.
In the General Settings section, on the User Groups tab, you can manage user groups, i.e. you create groups and add users to groups (and remove groups and users from groups). In order to grant user group rights, you navigate to an application to add those rights on the User Rights tab.
