Assigning a database to journal lines

1. In the Financial module, navigate to the Reports and scripts folder, Additional processes folder, Assign database code form.
2. Specify the period for which the process should assign databases to journal lines. The process assigns databases only to lines that:
   • do not have a database assigned yet
   • fall within the specified period
   • have not been exported
   • have not been summarized
   • are exported to an accounting system (set by journal entry type).

   A database will be assigned to a journal line only if assignment is successful for all lines of the journal entry. If multiple databases are assigned to the lines of one and the same journal entry, Isah will automatically create journal lines for the purpose of cross-charging between the companies involved. The lines added by Isah will be assigned the same entry number and the same journal entry category as the original journal entry, and journal entry type 90.

   Isah registers the database code in the Financial application database code field on the journal line. You can view these data in the overview of journal entries: in the Financial module, navigate to the Overviews folder, and open the Journal entries form.
