Setting the weight per unit
For most goods, you need to submit your Intrastat declaration based on their net weight, rounded to the nearest kilogram. You are therefore required to specify the weight in Isah for all parts that will be included in your declaration. Enter the weight in the Weight per unit field on the General tab of the Parts form.
Note: Weights of less than 1 kilogram must always be rounded up for declaration purposes; the integration module will do this automatically.
Specifying a conversion factor
Because the purchase unit and the sales unit may differ from the stock unit, you also need to enter the conversion factor for these units. Enter the conversion factor in the Purchase unit field (on the Purchase tab) and in the Sales unit field (on the Sales tab). If both fields have been filled in correctly, you will be able to sell and purchase items in any unit.
Setting dummy parts
If you are using dummy parts, it is not possible to set a default weight, as the dummy is used for different products each time.
To calculate the weight automatically, use the lWeightByVendPartCode parameter for purchase transactions, and use the lWeightByCustPartCode parameter for sales transactions (see below). Activate the parameter you will be using; Isah will retrieve the weight of the part (per part unit) from the Supplier part code field (for purchase lines), or from the Customer part code field (for sales lines).
If you have entered the weight in the parameter field, Isah will use that weight. If the field has no weight filled in, Isah will use the weight specified for the corresponding dummy part in the Parts module.
Note: If you activate the parameters, the Supplier part code and Customer part code fields can only contain numerical values.
Activating the parameters
To activate the lWeightByVendPartCode and lWeightByCustPartCode parameters, you need to modify a script. To do so, navigate to the General Settings module, open the Technical central data folder, and then select the Scripts form.
