Defining the import template for IDEP

Before you can start using IDEP, you need to specify the required details in IDEP, even if you will not be using the add-on for Isah. These required details relate to the data collection procedure, and include VAT numbers, the declaration period, etcetera. The IDEP application automatically alerts you to the settings when you get started with the application.Please note: Software references may vary slightly.
Define the import template in IDEP in order to be able to read the details of the Isah Intrastat module:
- Create an export file at the location you want to use for it. To do so, open the Preliminary costing module in Isah, open the Sales offers and orders form, select the Edit menu, and then select CBS Intrastat declaration. Enter the correct path and file name.
- In IDEP, navigate to the Import menu, click Import templates, choose Import templates, and click the Add button. Enter the following details:
  Name of import template: Provide a name for the import template, for example 'Isah Intrastat'.
  
  Description: Enter a description, for example 'Isah Intrastat details'.
  
  Type of import template: To import multiple flows and/or periods and/or declarants at once, enter 'Multiple flows/periods/declarants'.
  
  File type: Specify the file format 'Text'.
  
  Text type: Fill in 'Fixed'.
  
  Rows to skip at start of import: Fill in '0', because the details must be read from the first line.
  
  Commodity code: The commodity code consists of eight digits, so fill in 'CN8 commodity code'.
- Then click the Define fields to be imported button, and compile the list of fields to be imported based on the table below: Drag the fields from the Fields not to be imported list to the Fields to be imported list. You can drag the fields in the correct order, and modify the values in the Order and Length columns where necessary.

The Period format and Flow format fields are filled automatically. Check that the following values have been filled in:
Period format: The date display format 'YYYYMM'.

Flow format: The value of the commodity flow '6/7'.
