An Intrastat declaration is a legally required declaration showing the flows of goods between Belgium and the other Member States of the European Union.
Goods entering Belgian territory from other EU Member States are called 'arrivals'; goods leaving Belgian territory and bound for other EU Member States are called 'dispatches'.
Your company is required to submit declarations if the annual amount of the arrivals and/or the annual amount of the dispatches exceed the declaration thresholds. The amounts of the declaration thresholds can be found in the user guide for the Intrastat declaration for Belgium on the website of the National Bank of Belgium (NBB). By referring to the thresholds, you need to establish yourself whether your company is required to submit import declarations, export declarations, or both.
If your company is required to submit declarations, the Isah Intrastat integration module allows you to automatically collect the data for the monthly declaration in Isah. You can then upload these data to the OneGate portal of the NBB in order to satisfy the legal requirements. Isah allows you to submit both standard declarations and extended declarations (see the user guide of the NBB for details). Please note: Software references may vary slightly.
