The Sales line status overview form lists the actions performed on the selected sales line. For instance, you can see whether purchase orders have been placed yet, and whether a sales invoice has been created. In addition, you can see which actions are not applicable and which actions still have to be carried out.
If the Eligible for 'Offer' status, Eligible for 'Order'/'Actual costing' status and Eligible for 'History' status check boxes are selected, this means that the actions required for that status have been performed and that you can change the status into a status of that type.
Change status
Whether you can change the status of the sales line into a status of the Offer, Order or Actual Costing type depends on the setting of the Sales order permission specified in the customer settings. If the field is set to 'Nothing', no status changes are possible.
In order to change the status into a status of the 'History' type, the following conditions must be true.
Note: When a sales line is being dealt with, the fields in the right-hand column will be cleared. They will not be filled until the actions have been completed.
Actions required for status changes
If you want to change the status of the sales line into a 'History' status type even though the required ticks are missing in the right-hand column, then perform the following steps to makes sure that the check boxes get selected:
If the check boxes in the Dealt with/not applicable group box are selected, the Eligible for 'History' status check box will be selected and you can change the status into a 'History' status.
