It is possible to perform tests with electronic returns in a test environment, or to actually submit an electronic return. When you run the Complete VAT return or Complete EC Sales List process, a message will appear saying whether the return is submitted to the test environment or to the tax authorities. You need to set the destination of the electronic return during the installation of both the Isah Finance Services and the Isah Electronic Returns Service.
Please note that both should have the same setting. If the settings vary between services (one service has Test environment selected and the other does not), a message will appear during the completion of the electronic return or the sales list, saying that the return cannot be completed. In that case, the return can only be submitted manually.
