On the SMTP Settings tab you can configure settings that enable you to send emails. Specify the SMTP service and the user credentials needed to send emails to recipients.
Warning: You might need to configure your firewalls to allow communication to the specified port.
Enter the user name for the SMTP server account. You can either enter a user name or an email address. Additional information required to deliver the message (e.g. recipient, title, body text) are specified in Isah.
This is the password assigned to the user. Once you have entered user name and password, press the Save Password button to make sure the password is both saved and encrypted.
Activate the Secure with SSL field to secure the connection between the web service and the SMTP server. This way, you protect your SMTP account and the sent emails from unauthorized access.
You can specify the default sender for emails in the Default email address.
For webapplications, a user can configure webapplications to send an email automatically when a workflow change requires his or her input. If the Default email address field is filled in, the specified sender will be used in the automatically generated emails
