IP Addresses

Use the IP Addresses tab to specify which IP addresses and ports applications can use to access the Isah License Server. Double-click a record for additional IP Address information.

Overview of the IP Addresses tab

Item	Description
Listen on grid	Presents an overview of the IP Addresses and ports used by applications to access the Isah License Server.
Edit button	Use the Edit button to change the IP address, the port or to activate an IP address.
Active	Activates the IP Address. This means that if this check box is selected, the Isah License Server is available on this IP Address and port number combination. Once the Active button is enabled, the Test button becomes available.
IP Address	Specifies the Isah License Server IP address. The IP Address for which the Active check box is selected must also be specified with the port number on the System Settings tab of System Admin on the client.
Port	Specifies the Isah License Server port number.
Test button	Ckick this button to see if a connection can be made on the address and port specified. If a port is already being used by antother application, a message will appear to alert you to this fact.

Notes

For changes to the IP Addresses settings to take effect, you must first stop and restart the Isah License Server.
The Listen on grid will always contain the IP address '127.0.0.1', also known as 'localhost'. If the Active check box is enabled for this IP address, you can only connect to the license server from the system on which you are currently working. Other clients will not be able to connect to the license server using this IP address. However, it is recommended that you activate the IP address '127.0.0.1' in addition to the IP address that will be used by the other clients.
