You can use the Projects module to set up, monitor and manage a project to ensure a structured execution of tasks. The project functionality enables you to monitor the progress and to keep track of the costs and revenues. This allows you to detect bottlenecks on a timely basis, and adjust the planning accordingly.
The Planning module supports the entire process, from design through to the assembly and installation of products. While other Isah modules give you insight into subprocesses, the Projects module gives you an insight into the complete process,
From the outline planning through to planning based on up-to-date order information.
At the start of a project, you use rough estimates, such as an outline plan and budgets. As the project progresses, you can make more accurate estimates, and ultimately, order results will be available which you can link to the project. Each of those project phases has its own planning calculation. The plan type determines the applicable calculation.
If the sales, production, or purchase process has started, you can include the order data in the project calculations. By linking one or more orders to a project, you will have a wealth of up-to-date information about planning, costs and revenues at your fingertips, which will make it easier to monitor and manage the project.
Planning using graphs
Use the Gantt chart tab to plan using a graph. A Gantt chart gives you a quick and easy insight into the progress and any bottlenecks in the planning. It also shows how a change within the project affects the planning. Any changes required can be made in the Gantt chart itself.
Capacity overview
When assigning hours to the project, you will want to see their effect on the capacity. The capacity required for projects is displayed in capacity overviews by machine group or department. You can check the load against the capacity, as well as against the load from orders that are not project-related.
