Specifying Capacity Group Capacities

The capacity group capacity allows you to plan your production orders. The capacity group capacity, however, is determined for a fixed period. In most cases, this period will be a calendar year. You should therefore check at the turn of the year whether the validity of the capacity group capacity will expire. If so, you should specify the new capacity group capacity for the coming year. The following procedure describes how to specify the new capacity group capacity.

Specifying the new capacity group capacity

  1. Open the Capacity groups form.
  2. Select the first capacity group and click the Capacity lines button.
  3. Select a capacity line and open the General tab.
  4. Check the contents of the From date and To date fields. If the date range has expired, modify it by specifying the date range for the coming year.
  5. Check any other data and save your modifications.
  6. Return to the Capacity groups form. In the Edit menu, choose Calculate capacity.
  7. Enter the required data.
  8. Click Start to calculate the new capacity group capacity for the specified date range.
  9. Repeat this procedure for all capacity groups.

Tip: Once you have calculated the capacity group capacity for one capacity group, you can use the Copy capacity group capacity process to copy the capacity lines to another capacity group. Afterwards, run the Calculate capacity group capacity process.
