Use this field to specify how the stock of the parts in this part group is to be valued. You can choose from the following options:

• Fixed valuation price (FVP)
• Average purchase price (APP)

The value of this field is used as the default setting. All new parts added that belong to this part group will inherit the stock valuation method of that part group. The field value can still be modified here. This means that, for parts in the same part group, you can use both stock valuation methods side-by-side.

You can also set the required stock valuation method in the following locations:

• In the general financial settings (General Settings module, Settings, Financial, General tab)
• In the individual part settings
