The planning process in the Projects module is based on the following basic principles:
Weekends are not considered as work days.
The lead time is expressed in full days.
If a lead time extends over the weekend, the lead time will look longer, but the weekend is not included as working time.
The planning process in the Projects module is always a forward scheduling process, starting from the project line of the type 'Activity' or 'Milestone' that has the earliest start date.
As the project is scheduled, the lead time of individual project lines is never adjusted; only the start and finish dates are adjusted (unless a restriction applies to the start or finish date).
The start and finish dates of the lines are determined based on the project relationships (for example, 'Finish-to-start') and the lead times.
