Service contract versions

A service contract contains the general details of a contract, such as the contract code and customer, whereas a service contract version specifies the service to be rendered on one or more specific objects during a particular period.

For each service contract version, you can specify whether the contract also includes corrective maintenance. This allows you to easily differentiate between contract versions for preventive maintenance and contract versions for corrective maintenance. This means that when a service notification for a specific object is received, the correct contract version, including the conditions applicable to that service notification, will be retrieved automatically.

In a contract version, use the buttons on the form to register details such as:

• The object(s) to which the version applies
• The period to which the version applies
• Conditions for preventive and/or corrective maintenance
• Other conditions
• Costs
• Invoicing method
