Cancel contract

Run the Cancel contract process to terminate a service contract, a version, or an object. All underlying objects will be canceled. This means that, if you run the process from the service contract, all objects in all versions will be canceled. If you do so from the service contract version, the objects in that version will be canceled; if you do so from the Objects by contract version form, only that object will be canceled.

To cancel objects, fill in at least one of the following fields:

• The end date: The date on which the service period for the objects expires.
• The status (only for a contract or a version)
• A reason (only for a contract or a version)

To cancel a single object with effect from the end of the contract or contract version, set its end date to the version's end date and enter a reason code. The object will now not be copied when the contract is extended. To keep an entire version effective until its end date, without extending it after its end date, assign it the 'Actual costing' status.
