Service

In general, service providing companies perform two types of activities: preventive maintenance that is periodically performed under a contract, and occasional corrective maintenance that is performed if a failure occurs at the customer's site. The Service module allows you to register and search for details relating to both types of maintenance. The steps include:

• Registering service parts (see Objects)
• Entering service contracts containing conditions
• Registering and authorizing preventive maintenance, and creating orders and invoices for preventive maintenance
• Registering failures in notifications, and creating orders and invoices for corrective maintenance
