Districts are used for scheduling service engineers. The organization of districts can be fully tailored to meet your specific needs. For example, you could use 'South', 'Central', 'China', etcetera. Districts are not bound by state or country borders, and can therefore comprise several regions or countries.
Click the Detail button to specify ZIP code areas for each district.Click the Engineersbutton to specify one or more service engineers for each district.
The Preventive maintenance by district report is available for long-term planning purposes, and shows the total number of hours of preventive maintenance by district by period. By referring to this report, you can adapt the size of your field organization to your requirements.
For short-term planning purposes, a calendar is available. This calendar could be useful when you need to assign an engineer because of a service notification or order. The calendar can be displayed on the Calendar form using the 'Engineers by district' preset. The district is chosen automatically based on the ZIP code from the notification, and the engineers from that district will be shown in the calendar.
