This tab shows if, and if so how, cumulation should take place in the actual costing stage, for example whether parts from stock may be added up by calculation line or by part. If you choose 'By part', for example, bolt X will be cumulated on all lines on all levels of the production order structure.
Cumulation may have an impact on the pricing if you are using pricing scales. Let's assume you have two lines with 10 rubber caps each. They are $ 1 a piece, and $ 0.90 a piece for 20.
Hours are grouped differently from quantities. The reason for this is that postings can be split up into multiple lines if different prices apply to the hours worked. Let's assume you have made an hour entry '15:00-23:00', and you have recorded a $ 100 rate for the hours between 12:00-20:00, and a $ 200 rate for the hours between 20:00-24:00 in the Flexible search paths folder in the General Settings module. If you choose 'Time * Sales price', for instance, two cost-plus specification lines will be created from one actual costing line. If you choose not to cumulate, two lines will be created. This behavior is registered in the flexible search path. When cumulating, the time data will be lost.
If you cumulate by calculation line, the following data will be lost:
If you cumulate by employee, the following data will be lost:
When the search path contains lines with any of the variables listed here, those lines will be skipped.
