If the part received from production is marked as an object-linked part, you are required to specify the object code in this field. To assign a new object code, open the Edit menu, and choose Create objects. If the object has already been created, choose one of the objects.
If any objects of the part specified on the issue line are in stock, the object is filled in automatically. This behavior is subject to conditions, however. The stock properties (warehouse and location) of the part line in the production calculation must be empty or equal to the stock properties on the stock line of the object. If there are multiple objects in stock that match the stock properties, the object of the stock line with the lowest number will be used.
The as-built structure of an object is created automatically during various logistic processes. Examples of this include shipments based on shipping notes, to-order receipts from suppliers, stock issues, and to-order production receipts. During these processes, you will not only register the object, but also the target object of which the object is part. For example, if you receive an engine that will be part of a machine, you will register the machine as the target object.
