Use the Date information form to link attributes to a date, such as the corresponding week and month, the fiscal period, and whether or not it is a national holiday. This enables you to present your management information in a more convenient and informative fashion. This way, you could, for example, view your weekly turnover or your monthly order intake. Being able to identify any areas of concern, to monitor trends, and to compare performance figures will help optimize your business processes. The date information is very useful for compiling management information.

The data from date lines are used for pivot tables, presets, and scripts when determining the actual values of KPIs. If you want to use a pivot table to display turnover data, you will usually want to show those turnover data by week or by month. The software automatically looks up the week or month in which the date specified on the date line falls.
Let use assume you want to use a preset to show the holidays. If you select the Holiday check box for each holiday on the Date information form, this information can be included in the preset.
