The as-built structure of an object is created automatically during various logistic processes. Examples of this include shipments based on shipping notes, to-order receipts from suppliers, stock issues, and to-order production receipts. During these processes, you will not only register the object, but also the target object of which the object is part. For example, if you receive an engine that will be part of a machine, you will register the machine as the target object.

If the object replaces an existing object, you can specify that the as-built structure of the existing object is to be copied to the new object by selecting the check box.
